Join us for a snowshoe up the north side of Saskatoon Mountain. The plan is to start from about 2 km north of the cattle guard on highway 40. We snowshoe through previously logged areas to the base of the north ridge then follow the broad ridge to the summit. Generally easy terrain but 2 very short steep sections on the ridge. Return by similar route. Anticipate 4 - 5 kms and 160m elevation gain.

Difficulty Level: Moderate
Time and Location: Meet at Gazebo Park, across from Stone's Throw Cafe in Blairmore, no later than 9:00 am so that we can get started right away. The lead and participants will arrange car pooling.
Length of Trip: Expect to be out for around 4 hours including travel time and a break at the summit. Exact return time is unknown as it depends on the overall pacing of the group.
Appropriate warm clothing for the weather - several layers of clothing best and no cotton under garments!
Windproof jacket and pants.
On the way up less clothing needed as one generates heat but we will likely need all the layers if there is wind at the summit.
Snacks and water
Warm boots and Snow shoes
Sun glasses (hopefully!)
Optional, but Recommended Gear:
First aid kit
